Colors

I had three job interviews last month. They took more than three hours. The last one was longest one. It started at 9:00 and ended 13:00! I took SPI test and had an interview. The interviewers asked me why I wanted to work in the company. I told my personal history and explained the reason to apply for the job. Why do I have this job? I remember the first step. That must have been an opportunity to think of my future.

There were two shops on the third floor in Honathugi Mylord when I was a child.
One of them was a knitting yarn shop. It sold many kind of woolen yarn. They were not only balls of yarn made in Japan but also ones made abroad. All of walls of the shop were shelves and they were filled with various colors and materials. I thought they're beautiful. I liked to see and touch them. Some of them were really soft and light. I could know each yarn has different texture. Some of them were made of a few color yarns.
Yarn is one dimension. But when we knit, it becomes three dimensions. I was really interested in it. I liked knitting when I was a child. I realized that colors and materials could make a three dimension world. And they produce an atmosphere. I liked to imagine the finished goods looking at a yarn ball.

Another shop was a stationery store. The store name was LEMON. It was opposite the knitting yarn shop. It's a long established store and its main store is in Otyanomizu. For students who study design, art and architecture, LEMON is popular store. It sells tools for professionals. When I became a college student, I knew what LEMON was. Unfortunately, the LEMON in Honatsugi pulled out because there were not professional in this area in those days.
I was a child but when I entered the store, I thought the store was stoic and really cool.
I also saw many colors and materials there. Crayon, conte, pencil, paints, paper and pens. I thought that I wanted to have a job which needed to buy something in this kind of store. I wanted to be an adult who were thinking which tools would be better for me in LEMON. Because I thought it was cool to know how to use these colors and materials.

It seems knitting and architecture have something in common. Long time ago, I wanted to be a knitting designer. Why did I change my way? I cannot remember now.
Autumn has come. It’s good season for knitting.
